Local Youth Receive Award
Brandon Ross, Matt Skeen and Chris Sheets were awarded Youth Community Service Awards at the August 7, 2007 Town Council meeting. These young men voluntarily spent several hours collecting trash and debris in the West Park and the creek to help beautify these areas. When asked what inspired them to tackle this project they replied that they were concerned with the safety of the children due to the trash that had been thrown into the creek. They wanted to help make their town a safer, cleaner and more beautiful place for children to play and families to visit.
On behalf of the Town Council and the residents of New Whiteland we would like to thank these boys for their community spirit and their pride in our Town. We commend them for their service to New Whiteland. Good job guys! |
