SPECIAL MEETING

NOVEMBER 8, 2006

MEETING MEMORANDUM

 

 

Town Council President John Perrin opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m.  Council members present were Joe Noonan, Scott Alspach, and Don Harris.   Also present were Attorney J. Lee Robbins and Clerk-Treasurer Maribeth Alspach.  Councilman Spencer was absent.

 

President Perrin states the purpose of this meeting is to consider the employment of David Stokes with the New Whiteland Police Department based on information presented at the hearing held on November 1, 2006.

 

Councilman Harris moves to uphold the dismissal of David Stokes from the New Whiteland police Department.  Motion is seconded by Councilman Noonan.  Vote 4 affirmative.

 

Attorney Robbins advises that in light of the Town Council’s decision the statute requires the adopting of finding of facts.  Attorney Robbins has prepared a draft document and reads the Findings of Facts and Conclusions for the Town Council’s consideration.  Minor revisions have been made.

 

Councilman Alspach moves to adopt the Findings of Fact and Conclusions and is seconded by Member Harris. Vote 4 affirmative.

 

Attorney Robbins will make the approved corrections and submit a final copy for the Councilmembers to sign.

 

Being no other business the meeting was adjourned at 7:11 p.m.
