Maribeth met with James “Gonzo” Schatz and his boss, Brad Poynter, of Fieldstone Center of Indy on Monday. They are donating the rest of the stone that we need for the water feature at the park. They are also donating eight (8) limestone benches 6 ft long by 24” wide and 18” in height. Gonzo lives in Whiteland and is very active in the baseball program. He was trained as a chef and has offered to cook for us if we plan a fundraiser with food. Gonzo brings a sample replica of the benches to the meeting and is welcomed and thanked by the committee. The committee discusses cost for the benches if a family would wish to purchase one to have sandblasted. Preliminary discussion is $1,000 plus the cost of engraving.
