The following grant updates are made:

Hometown Helper – requested $15,000.00 our grant was denied.  No response or

“We regret that we can not support this event due to previous commitments and

*Raffle Items

John Perrin presents a handmade quilt made by his sister-in-law and some

of her friends.  The quilt is a King Size Plus and is red, white and blue.

We will raffle this item off.  Tickets will be $5 each or 3 for $10.

Maribeth will get this information posted on the website and try to get

color fliers for area businesses to display.  John Perrin will see if the

Patriot Guard would sell raffle tickets at the Motorcycle Expo in February.

John is also checking with the Amish Furniture Store to see if they would

donate a quilt stand.

Maribeth has requested a pair of Pacers tickets to raffle off at the WCHS

home basketball game on January 5th.

            *Promotional Items

Dog Tags – Mark Berry has donated Proctor Park – Honoring our Heroes” dog tags.  Maribeth distributes sample set to each committee member.  Vicky Moss has been selling these at her work place and has made $325.00 for the park.  Maribeth has additional sets available if others would like some to sell at their work places or to friends and neighbors.  We will add this information to our web site also.

Logo – Maribeth presents the beautiful logo designed by the graphics

team at the Daily Journal and donated to us.  Many thanks to the Journal.

Cups – Patti Wade presents sample cups in various sizes and gives cost

information.  Committee will consider these for use at future events.

Window Clings – Patti presents some cost information – appropriate size

for this item is discussed.  We believe these would be a good item to sell

and promote this project.  Patti will get a second quote for a 3” x 5” or 4”

x 6” size.

Marketing

Thank you ads ran in the Journal on November 23rd & 24th.  The ad also promoted the Memorial Brick orders.  We will have another Memorial Brick order ad in the Letters to Santa insert on December 6th.  Maribeth did another radio show on November 17th to promote Proctor Park.

Playground Equipment Quotes

Kidz Zone Equipment has provided a quote with a large discount that is good through the end of January 2008.  They have also offered to provide 2 installers if the equipment arrives and is installed in February to help with installation.  Maribeth is expecting one additional quote in early December from Child’s-Play.

Meeting Schedule

The December meeting is cancelled. Our next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, January 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Meeting Room here at the Town Hall.
