Special Committee Meeting

October 29, 2007

 

Maribeth Alspach opened the meeting at 6:00 p.m. and welcomed all members to the meeting.  We had 13 committee members in attendance.  

 

Fundraisers

Updates were given on the following fundraisers

            Millennium in Franklin – Saturday, Oct. 27th from 2 – 8 p.m.

                        Beth Proctor brought in $432.00 today from the raffle and 50/50 tickets

sold at this event.  Additional funds should be coming from the

Millennium for 15% of the bar proceeds.

            Heroes Honoring Heroes – Sat. Feb. 23, 2008 WCHS gym 9 – 7

Cheryl Mathena is in the hospital and unable to help coordinate this event.

Maribeth has been notified that the Colt’s players do not make

appearances from the end of the season until May and will be unable to

attend this event.  We will request an item for the auction.  Patti Wade is

sending a request form for Colt’s Cheerleaders to attend.  Maribeth mailed

letters to Reggie Miller, Larry Bird and the Pacers organization today.

Asks all committee members to use any connections they might have to

help replace these celebrities for our event.  Also explore other options –

scrimmage ballgame, concert, etc.

            *Raffle Items

Pacer Tickets - Pacers tickets request was mailed today.

            *Promotional Items

Logo Patti Wade & Maribeth met with Red Line Graphics – they are

working on a logo for our project.

Thank You Heroes – discussed selling paper tags at various businesses

for a dollar to say We Thank & Support our Heroes. Thanksgiving possible good time to do this?

Marketing

Billboard – Vicky Moss has talked to Mr. Mason at Atterbury.  The

Firing Range cannot help with the billboard but are trying to schedule a

fundraiser between Christmas and New Year’s at the range to benefit

Proctor Park.

Meeting Schedule

Our next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, November 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Meeting Room here at the Town Hall. 

 

Being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
