MINUTES
Member Noonan moves to approve the minutes of
the previous meeting. Motion seconded by
Councilman Alspach. Vote 3 affirmative.

Council authorizes a $78.08 sewer adjustment
for service at 501 Hollybrook.

BUSINESS
Debt Service Reserve Account
Clerk-Treasurer Alspach presents a letter
from Financial Consultant
Baseball Parade
Councilman Alspach thanks Marshal Stephenson
and the New Whiteland Police Department for their assistance during the recent
parade.
NEW
BUSINESS
Police Officer & Firemen Pension Fund
Marshal Stephenson was asked by Councilman
Harris to investigate getting our police officers into this pension plan. Stephenson has obtained information from
Bargersville as requested. Council
directs Stephenson to forward this information to Attorney Robbins for
review. We need to know the cost of
moving to this program. President Perrin
notes that our employees are covered by both PERF and an individual annuity to
provide for their retirement needs.
LEGISLATIVE
Ordinance 2050
This item was tabled until the next meeting
due to Attorney Robbins’ absence.
Ordinance 2052
Clerk-Treasurer Alspach presents the
Ordinance to allow the General Fund to borrow $100,000.00 from the Sewer Fund
until we receive our tax distribution.
Councilman Noonan moves to adopt Ordinance 2052 on first reading. Councilman Alspach seconds the motion. Vote 3 affirmative.
Utility Transfers
Clerk-Treasurer Alspach presents a memo to
transfer funds in both the Water and Sewer Utilities. Council approves both transfers.
Special Meeting
The council will meet at 4:00 p.m. on Friday,
May 4th, 2007 to consider Ordinance 2052 on final reading. The General Fund will be in the red following
the update of tonight’s docket and we need to move money as quickly as
possible. The ordinance cannot be passed
twice tonight because we are short two council members. Council directs Clerk-Treasurer Alspach to
notify the newspaper and the missing councilmen.
